Hi,You need to have Exchange server installed successfully before starting the services. Look in the installation log for clues to why the installation failed (and post part of the installation log here if you need help).Leif

Also check IPv6 protocol selection in Local Area Connection. There is a known issue in Windows 2008 which causes this transport servicefailureduring installation, check below KB for further details... The installation of the Exchange Server 2007 Hub Transport role is unsuccessful on a Windows Server 2008-based computer http://support.microsoft.com/kb/952842 Enable IPv6 in Local Area Connection. To completely disable IPv6 on a Windows Server 2008-based computer, follow these steps and add a registry key: Open Registry Editor. Locate the following registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters In the details pane, clickNew, and then clickDWORD (32-bit) Value. Type DisabledComponents, and then press ENTER. Double-clickDisabledComponents, and then type 0xffffffff in Hexadecimal or 4294967295 in Decimal.
