can't see new incoming emails or sent emails in outlook 2010
Hello, I can NOT see any incoming emails or emails i sent/send, in the "sent". I can send emails out to other emails with no problems( i have sent test emails and i got them on other emails). Also, i can see emails are coming in with notification and sound next to the clock. If i am quick enough i can click on a notification and it does open it and i can see the incoing email. however, inbox shows NOTHING came in and i can NOT see all the emails just came in. I don't know where they go!!!!??? I have uninstalled the office and reinstalled it and the same thing, can't see incoming or out going emails. I just don't underestand what is happening here. i never had any issues with outlook 2007 it worked great. Also, how can i rest outlook and start from scratch like it was never installed whith all emails deleted? i try reinstalled and it kept all the settings and i was back to square one again. PLEASE help step by step so i can underestand what i need to do or done wrong. Thank you

Hi, Start by stopping Outlook and verify that everything looks normal when using OWA. If it does we know that it is an Outlook issue. If it is an Outlook issue, verify that Outlook is not configured to deliver mails to a pst file - try to configure Outlook to work in online mode (remove the checkmark in use cached mode" Leif

Leif, Thank you for quick responce. I am so sorry, but i am not sure what OWA means. If you mean other iffice apps they do work ok( MS words is good, exl is working good). as for configuring outlook I don't know what else to do. I have gone to my acct settings and checked everything and there is nothing says PST anywhere. I have been working on this all day long and no luck. FYI, i am running win 7 and office 2010 (64 bit both of them) If you could PLEASE give me step by step 1.2.3..... I would greatly appreciate it. I am just getting very upset working on this. Thank you very much

Hi, I were assuming that your Outlook is connected to an exchange server since you posted in an Exchange server newsgroup. You can normally access your Exchange mailbox by using Outlook Web App - which is a browser based view of your mailbox. Ask your Exchange admin on the url to this OWA. I don't have any step by step instructions on how to use OWA. If you are not using an Exchange server to host your mailbox it might be better to ask your question in a newsgroup dedicated to Outlook issues as they might have seen this issue before. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlook/threads Leif

I have searched Leif answer for same question :) http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrgeneral/thread/1d8db1e9-294c-47ee-bed6-a3e4a1c356dd/ If still does not work then try to install MFCMAPI and delete all rule which show in MFCMAI and then check with outlook. see how you can delete it. Delete Corrupted, Hidden or Stale rules from mailbox with MFCMapi http://exchangeshare.wordpress.com/2008/04/10/delete-corrupted-hidden-or-stale-rules-from-mailbox-with-mfcmapi/ Anil MCC 2011,ITIL V3,MCSA 2003,MCTS 2010, My Blog : http://messagingschool.wordpress.com

Hi, You still need to check the following as Leif says: ‘Start by stopping Outlook and verify that everything looks normal when using OWA. If it does we know that it is an Outlook issue. If it is an Outlook issue, verify that Outlook is not configured to deliver mails to a pst file - try to configure Outlook to work in online mode (remove the checkmark in use cached mode)’ And if it doesn’t work, you can try Anil’s way. Hope this helps. ThanksPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
