can't see free/busy schedule after migrating from exchange 2003 to exchange 2007
Hi there, We have migrate users' mailbox from exchange 2003 to exchange 2007 (different server) and decommissioned exchange 2003. As for the clients, only 2 people using outlook 2007 and the rest are outlook 2003. Now we have an issue where we can't see the free/busy schedule when we creating a meeting request. Anyone knows how to make it visible again?

The Exchange 2003 clients and rely on the Free/Busy public folder. http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Transitioning-Exchange-2000-2003-Exchange-Server-2007-Part3.html You'll need to run this. http://blog.stealthpuppy.com/exchange/exchange-server-2007-and-public-folder-replicas http://smtp25.blogspot.com/2007/08/no-freebusy-information-could-be.htmlMark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:EMA 2K7,EDA Win 7,ES,SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

I found those links but ... http://smtp25.blogspot.com/2007/08/no-freebusy-information-could-be.html under SOLUTION , I open up ADSIedit but can't find Services folder. and on this link http://blog.stealthpuppy.com/exchange/exchange-server-2007-and-public-folder-replicas I didn't get that error event from MSExchangeFBPublish source. it only says: Deletion of duplicate free/busy messages for virtual machine FRANKLIN has finished successfully. Number of messages scanned=1, number of duplicates=0, number deleted=0, number of messages whose URLs were fixed=0, number of messages in error=0. do i still need to run those commands?

to find the Services folder with ADSI edit, you must connect ADSI to the configuration naming conext instead of the default domain naming contextlasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com

cool! I've done both suggestions from the links and ..... just found out that I can't view the free/busy thingy ONLY on people who use Outlook 2007 client . Those who use Outlook 2003 and Outlook Web Access on Exchange 2007 can see the free/busy schedule. Do you think it has something to do with the AutoDiscover? - CTRL+right-click outlook icon on taskbar - TestEmailAutoConfiguration Because mine failed and I don't know how to make it work.

If users on OL2003 can access Free/Busy adn OL2007 users can not, then there is most likely a missconfiguration of the autodiscover service URL's on Exchange. The autodiscover white paperhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332063(EXCHG.80).aspxThe Autodiscover Service and Outlook Providers - how does this stuff work?http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2008/09/26/449908.aspxlasse at humandata dot se, http://anewmessagehasarrived.blogspot.com
