can't forward meeting request from exchange 2007 to exchange 2003 (between servers in same enterprise)
hi
when trying to forward meeting request from exchange 2007 to exchange 2003 i get a
"Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:username Your message wasn't delivered because of security policies. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.
Diagnostic information for administrators:
Generating server: server.local
username#< #5.7.1> #SMTP#"
i can create a new request, this just append on forwarding
any thoughts?

Praecedo,
I think you have a relaying problem which will cause the issue. As it looks like that your Exchange 2007 server may not send to the Exchange 2003 environment. Can you tell us if you have one Exchange organization or multiple ?
If you have multiple organization's you need to be sure that you configure a remote domain with the option to send the meeting requests to that domain.
What you also need to check is your relaying settings on both the servers.

Whatmessage tracking shows? Where is it getting stuck?
Are you getting any error on servers at the time when you forward meeting request?
If not, then you can enable diagnostic logging leveloftransporton the server where it stuck to see the in-depth reason about it.

This is because you're forwarding somebody elses meeting request, not your own. The messages used to (in a pure ex2003 environment) forward and display with "From Joe Boxer (on behalf of Some Guy)"This likely has to do with a send-as permission somewhere. I'm looking for the same resolution, but have not found it yet.

hi,and if i add on outlook tools\options\delegates the user that forwards the meeting requests, it works and i get no ndr, so why do i need permissions to forward meetings that i don't need in a single server scenario?Regards,Praecedo

hi,after opening a incident on ms, the solution for my problem was:1.opening adsi on the server that was sending the ndr (e2k7)2.go to configuration\services\microsoft exchange\<organizationname>\administrative groups(select which one as the ndr sending server)3. right click on the <servername> then security tab and advanced4. there was a deny send as for everyone (don't know how that end up there) remove it5. restart iis admin serviceregards, praecedo
