all of a sudden my windows camera scanner wizard won't stay open when i insert a card into a card reader ... it used to pop up but now right after, or at the same instance, the computer acknowledges its insertion, the wizard screen (well i believe it's the wizard screen) flashes open and closes just as fast .... how can i get it to stay open? ... what caused it to start doing that so i won't let it happen again? ... my operating system is xp ... and the last thing i believe i did before it began behaving like this was i used the *safely remove hardware* feature from the system tray and selected the f: drive that the card was in ... that made the card reader on my printer unrecognized by the puter too !! ... but i managed to fix that ... but not the wizard ... can anyone help me with this?

in actuality, i searched for and found a solution elsewhere on the net and the problem has been solved ! ... the solution was as simple as reinserting the usb devices that had been inserted previously each for their first time ... !!! ... apparently something happens the first time one is inserted into the HP C7280 AIO printer (maybe other too?) and it's resolved upon the subsequent insertion ... !! *curious* ... does this constitute it having been the operating system's problem?
