ALL, I need to have copy of mailbox before i delete it...how to backup or have copy of it ? we have some employees quit,,before i delete them i need to backup somewhere. plz help

What version of Exchange are you on? There are native tools from MS to assist you with this but need to know the exchange version first since they do vary. That said one thing you could do is use Outlook to open the mailbox and export to PST Or you can check out a 3rd party option like Lucid8's DigiScope http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp which can achieve what you desire and more, i.e. DigiScope can open offline exchange databases without the need for the Exchange server or DC. Once opened you can Browse, Search, Export to PST, MSG & XML or recover data directly from the offline database into a production version of Exchange and even cross versions, i.e. you can import data from an offline 2003 EDB into the production Exchange 2010 database.
