im trying to put forward a case to disable the autoforward feature, namely to keep sensitive mail going out to stuff like hotmail/yahoo etc. i suspect the counter argument from our exchange team will be well why bother, as technically a user could just forward the email any way, regardless of its done automatically or if its manually forwarded by the user. has anyone a view on why bother disabling autoformat. please keep answers in laymans terms for a non exchange person thanks

You stop that by preventing auto-forwarded messages from leaving the organization. Can you allow for internal autoforwarding but prevent external autoforwarding? Exchange 2003. If you migrate from ex2003 to ex2010 with autoforwarding permitted, will it still be permitted in 2010?
