By default it was set via port 80. You can check at IIS>Default Website (on Exchange Server)

The difference between the https and http connection on a line connection of that speed will be not very noticable. I would recommend one or both of the following. Connect using outlook with cached mode enabled from the branch offices. This will minimize the amount of traffic as opposed to a full web ajax client. The second thing i would suggest is if the users need to use outlook, have them try the light version and see if that is faster. As the light version doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the normal owa client does, it should load faster. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. As MS Exc2k10 have more feature loaded in OWA ,if you need all feature- i would suggest upgrade HQ link speed , note :- there will not have much difference about http and https . thanks vino

If you don't have the licenses for Outlook at the moment, that's fine. For OWA check if having the users use the light version, It's a checkbox on the logon screen in OWA, makes any difference in the speed. It should as the OWA light version doesn't have many of the bells and whistles so it doesn't reuiqre a lot of bandwidth. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. To allow user access OWA by using both HTTPS and HTTP, please follow these steps: 1. Open Internet Information Services Manager, Expand to Sites->Default Web Site->OWA. On right panel, double click SSL settings. 2. Uncheck the option "Require SSL". 3. On Actions panel, click Apply.
