adding exceptions to Exchange Server 2007
I am trying to add a MFP, Ricoh-MPC 2500, to the exceptions area of Exch. Server 2007. Where can I add this IP address for the exception?

I am assuming that you want to allow the MFP to relay mail through the E2K7 server. Bharat Suneja has a really good article on how to do this. I recommend taking a look at this as he explains it really well.http://exchangepedia.com/blog/2007/01/exchange-server-2007-how-to-allow.htmlJim McBee - Blog - http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com

you have to configure a connector specific for printers or other applications that you may want to allow to relay.a good article:http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/12/28/432013.aspxDON'T forget to issue the command to allow anonymous logon....HTH byeDiego Castelli

Cutty,Create a new "Receive Connector" in Hub-Transport under theServer Configuration page (Ensure you set this on the Hub-Transport server you have set as the SMTP server on the devices. eg. IF your devices point to HT01, then set the receive connector up on HT01) and set it as Custom (Use Internal if you are only talking to YOUR domain). Keep the default settings on Local Network. Under Remote Networks, set the IP addresses of the devices you want to send from.Once created open the connector and go to the Authentication tab and clear ALL check boxes. Then send a test from the MFD, if that works, turn on ONE of the authentication boxes and test again. This way you can find the least security your device will work with helping to protect your exchange server from attack.
