Hi Vaijnath, You can run the /recoverserver parameter, I presume this server holds all roles? CAS, HT and Mailbox? /recoverserver will fully restore the Hub Transport role as all configuration data is within Active Directory. You could potentially lose some mail that hasn't been delivered yet within the mail queue database. However you can aleviate this by ensuring proper shutdown of servers on the Exchange Server. Rea: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998634.aspx The Mailbox role is again the same, all configuration data being held withing Active Directory, minus Search information and the Offline Address Book (which isn't critical as it will just be rebuilt) - you would have to ensure you have your databases (*.edb files) ready to restore back (you would be able to drop them into the home directory), unless you were restoring from NTBackup or a similar backup agent. Read: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124257(EXCHG.80).aspx The Client Acces Role is different however, a lot of data is only restorable by a System State, or if you are performing a lesser restoring, recovering from IIS Metabase backups. Finally: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998364(EXCHG.80).aspx I hope this helps, Regards. Shafaquat Ali Regards. Shafaquat Ali. Dont worry. straight away got for 2nd deploayment and add this new exchange to the exisiting exchange org. Create some test mail boxes and move them first. If they go good, go ahead with rest of them.Raj

Yes, I agree with Rajinish. Please just install it and then test the mail flow. Besides, you can use ExBPA after you have install the additional Exchange Servers. Regards, Xiu

In addition to above Don't forget if you are going to switch the servers, don't forget the certificates, dns and fw rules that should apply to the new one. Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog
