add new hub transport server to an existing Exchange 2007 envoriment
Hi All, I have an Exchange 2007 envoriment with one Edge at the DMZ and one mailbox, client access and hub transport server in my LAN. Now I am deploying another server the it will be a standby server to create a SCR. My question is: Do I have to create another subscrition file from my Edge server and import in both hub transports servers (the new one and the old one) ? At this moment i have the error bellow in the new hub transp. server: Event Type:ErrorEvent Source:MSExchange EdgeSyncEvent Category:Topology Event ID:1032Date:27/03/2008Time:13:20:49User:N/AComputer:(the name of my new server)Description:No credential was found for (the name of my edge server) For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Cheers, Gus

Hi, Adding or Removing a Hub Transport Server If a Hub Transport server is added to the ActiveDirectory site to which an Edge Transport server is already subscribed, it does not automatically participate in the EdgeSyncsynchronization process. To enable a newly deployed Hub Transport server to participate in the EdgeSync synchronization process, you must resubscribe each Edge Transport server to the ActiveDirectory site. Removing a Hub Transport server from an ActiveDirectory site where an Edge Transport server is subscribed will not affect EdgeSync synchronization, unless that Hub Transport server is the last Hub Transport server in that site. If you remove all Hub Transport servers from the ActiveDirectory site where an Edge Transport server is subscribed, the subscribed Edge Transport servers are orphaned From: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997438(EXCHG.80).aspx Leif
