Your message does not conform to RFC2822 Standard.
I'm Running Exchange 2003 on Small Business Server. I am trying to send emails to several hundred users in a distribution list. When sending the email, it does not go through and I get the error "There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator. <mydomain.com #5.5.0 smtp;550 Your message does not conform to RFC2822 standard>" This does not happen when sending to a distribution list with 25 users. The larger list has worked in the past. Is this an issue with some type of spam email protection from my ISP? I did a DNSReport and found that I do nothave a postmaster@mydomain.com account, and the report stats that this is required for mailservers according to RFC 822 standard. Is this my problem? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. GA

All E-mail and Usenet messages are supposed to conform to the standards laid out in RFC 2822. This is a "behind the scenes" thing that generally users are not aware of. This error can mean that the email address has unexpected characters in the address or that the address is not exactly as it should bei.e you emailed piet.boyeens@movies.com but the email address is pietboyeens@movies.com so the receiving sender suspects it is spamOr it could mean that there are words in the subject or even the header of the email that make the email suspect
