Your Our of Office settings cannot be displayed. because the server is currently unavailable...
Dear Exchange Gurus, Recently after SSL implementation we all in the office began to get Site Error warning upon launching OL2007. The "http://www.lappari.com/2010/09/exchange-certification-error-on-lan/" helped me fix this. Now nobody can open the Out of Office Assistant. when we try to open it we jusy get the error as mentioned in the title. The OWA has no issue to open the Out of Office Assistant though! I feel I am doomed with this Exchange project!! I whole heartedly appreciate any advise/instructions to resolve this. Regards, BinaBina Hejazi

Please describe this "SSL implementation" you mention. What you did in that regard might help explain what might be wrong.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi Binah Your OOF URL must exist on your certificate on the client access server. 1. Check the OOF URL to ensure it is correct, you can do this by holding down CTRL and right clicking the outlook icon > Test email autoconfiguration 2. If OOF URL appears correct ensure that you can access the URL in a browser 3. Most importantly ensure that the OOF URL exists in the certificate on your client access server, you can do this by using the following command in the exchange management shell.... Get-ExchangeCertificate | FL The output of this command should show your OOF URL in the subject line. All this is covered step by step here.... http://www.proexchange.be/blogs/exchange2007/archive/2009/07/14/your-out-of-office-settings-cannot-be-displayed-because-the-server-is-currently-unavailable-try-again-later.aspx

Hello, The OOF feature is based on autodiscover service. By default, the autodiscover requires SSL. To further troubleshoot this issue, please also collect the following information. 1. [Collect AutoConfiguration Status in Outlook] =================================== a. While Outlook is running, click the CTRL key and then right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and then select “Test Email Autoconfiguration”. b. Confirm that your email address is in the address field, uncheck “Use Guessmart” and “secure Guessmart authentication” boxes. Then click the “Test” button. c. Once it runs, please send me a screen shot of the Log tab and Results tab. 2. [CAS server configuration information] ============================= On CAS server, open “Exchange Management Shell” and type the cmdlet: Get-autodiscovervirtualdirectory | fl >c:\auto.txt Get-clientaccessserver | fl >c:\cas.txt Get-ExchangeCertificate |fl >c:\certlog.txt You can reach me at: v-simwu@microsoft.com Thanks, Simon
