X500 address
After moving a mailbox from a 2k server to a 2k3 one, the From address has changed and is displayed like From: /o=ORGNAME,/ou=ORGANIZATIONALUNIT,/cn=Recipients/cn=USRNAME. Any idea??? Thanks in advance

This can happen if you have done amigration of mailboxes cross Exchange organization. when the new mailbox is created on the detination side,it might not get the same legacyExchangeDN as the original one. you can add the legacyExchangeDN as a X500 address on the mailbox and this will be corrected

The address in the from field should be added as a X500 address to the mailbox that corresponds to the old mailbox. ex. mailbox1 has before the migration an legacyExchangeDN of /o=oldorg/ou=sitename/cn=recipients/cn=mailbox1 this mialbox is migrated to a new system and is given legacyExchangeDN: /o=neworg/ou=sitename/cn=recipients/cn=mailbox1 you should add the old legacyExchangeDN to the new mailbox but as a X500 address

The old legacyExchangeDn already exists as a X500 address for this mailbox, i just have set it as the primary x500 address to see if this makes any difference. Any other idea would be highly appreciated.

Are you sure that you have the correct legacyExchangeDN and have set it on the correct mailbox.there is no need for it to be primary, just being there should be OK

Double checked that, even deleted and added again the x500 address. The current legacyexchangeDN matches the new mailbox store. Information was collected using ldp. Any idea?

Have your outlook downloaded new OAB after you added the X500 address? Does it work when you switch to online mode?
