Workstation Setup - Exchange/AD Administration
I am looking for real world advice and suggestions on how to setup the ideal workstation to administer Exchange and Active Directory. We lost our psuedo exchange/ad admin and we are slim on resources. Some simple questions that readily come to mind are: Domain Logon account - should I logon as a domain admin (setup a separate domain admin) what permissions should this account have? is there a second account needed to manage mailboxes on same workstation currently: have Domain Admin [adm] with Exchange Admin permissions currently: have Domain User [mbx] with mailbox permissions Applications to have installed System Manager Server 2003 SP1 Administration Tools Server 2003 Support Tools ExMerge Outlook?? Ultimately, we want to be able to use this administration workstation as the administration hub for managing exchange and active directory. Any and all suggestions and feedback would be extremely appreciated.
