Workgroup Clients
Hi we have a number of workgroup clients that need access to our exchange 2007 mailbox server, they are using outlook 2003. Can anyone advise on the authentication process and if the client needs to have the AD DNS server adding to its list of DNS Servers.I think that the client will use NTLM protocol but will need AD DNS as its domain account will be used for mailbx access, also in this scenario when send or access the mailbox how will the authentication / authorisation work?Cheers for any feedback

Hi, You are using TCP connection or RPCoverHTTP? The client need to resolve the server name even you enter an IP address. Regarding the authentication method, you can choose it: E-mail accountExchange server settingsmore settingssecurity tab. Thanks, Elvis
