My name is Gururajan. I am getting a below issue often in Word 2010 and I have attached the screenshots for your review.

When i save as the document that in 'doc' format to docx format in Word 2010, words are getting jumbled. This can be seen only after closing and opening the document again. I have tried different combination to see these jumbled words (some documents I am not able to find when it has happened). Those combinations are as follows:

• First I save as the document doc to 'docx' format with track revision off and closed the document.
• Then again I opened the document and saw those words if any words have been changed, but the words remain intact.
• Again I closed the document with track revision on and opened the document again. This time the words are jumbled.

I am also getting the same issue (words getting jumbled) when I save as the document in docx (2007)  to docx (2010). 

Please provide a solution for this. I look forward to hearing from you.

When you open a doc file in docx format images and words can be jumbled as in your case. To prevent this kind of you can choose compatibility mode or simply save your file in pdf format.
