Word Document different on an iphone

I have a really weird thing going on. I have a word document that i used from a previous company that had letterhead setup just as I like. I used that document, deleted the old logo and address and inserted my new logo and address.

All looked ok, I created letters, viewed it, printed it and emailed it to folks. All appeared normal.

Then, one day a co-worker called me and said the old logo and address appeared when viewed on an IPhone.

To trouble shoot, I deleted everything from the document, logo, text ect. When I emailed it and viewed it on my iphone, the old logo and address appeared.

I am completely at a loss and would appreciate any help.

I guess this could be a bug with the version of Word used on the cell phone.

However, as a starting point, make sure that you properly deleted any undesired headers (and/or footers) in the document that you sent. The easiest way is to use the Document Inspector.

Note that Word can have up to three different headers (and three different footers) per section. The three types of headers (footers) must be deleted, or edited, separately. For more, see http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/HeaderFooter.ht

Hi,

To trouble shoot, I deleted everything from the document, logo, text ect. When I emailed it and viewed it on my iphone, the old logo and address appeared.

you never, never should reuse (overwrite) old documents. You always should create new documents using a specified template.
For example: You enable "Different first page" in a letter, and insert a logo in the first header.
But then, in a copy of this letter, you disable "Different first page". After that the content of first page header will be hidden, but it will not be removed. The logo is still there.
Although first page header is not shown on your PC, it will be shown on iPhone, iPad, other SmartPhones...

We're seeing this issue - the iPhone is rendering the original "Different First Page" header, however that option is no longer selected and so it should be using the same header on all pages.
