Hiya

I have one doc that a customer would fill in, but i want it so that when they create the first one a second different doc is created but with certain elements of the first doc already pasted into this.

I am thinking i will need to put both docs in the same place so that they are accessaibale?

I assume i could do by bookmarking???

Based on your description, my understanding is that there is a Document 1, customers enter information to Document 1 and at the same time the content of Document 1 is pasted to Document 2.

Is my understanding correct? If yes, I suggest you use VBA code to get your result. You can post your requirement in Word for developers forum, so that you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.

Thats the one.

There are slight difference in document 2 with the info being on different pages but yes it just saves them having to cut and paste to different areas

If you bookmark the ranges in the source document you want replicated in the target document, you can use INCLUDETEXT fields in the target document to do the replication. For more information on INCLUDETEXT fields, see:
