A Word 2013 form with a dropdown content control does not work on Mac Word 2011. Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround for it besides creating the form on a Mac? Thank you.

As far as I know, the Windows version of Office supports two different types of form controls:

• Legacy Form Controls
• ActiveX Form Controls

Only Legacy Forms Controls are supported on Macs. Evidently the document was created using the ActiveX controls. Since ActiveX isn't supported by the Mac OS, controls of that type are simply displayed as pictures... they will not operate in any version of Mac Word.
