Word 2013 doesn't open rtf file directly from third party progrma

Hello, i'm using Offise 2013 and have strange problem.
when i'm trying to open *.rtf file from directly from "dietrich's" program (it is used for constructing timber and ashield houses) i'm having an error saying that offise stopped working. but when i'm trying to open the same file from location where it is stored, everything seems to be fine. Question is why i can't do that directly from that program.

it' seems like office can't run properly due to some kind of macros or scripts, don't know where to look for solution.

Hi Martynas.L,

Based on your description, you said you tried to open the file >>"dietrich's" program<<. Could you tell me what is the program? If this program is a software in your computer or this is a web site and you download file from IE?

Please provide the steps of opening from dietrich's" program, you said it opened fine from location, did you open the same file? Or just the same *.rft extension name?

If you opened the same file, it seems this file is fine. The reason might be caused by the dietrich's" program, you can test it in another computer and check if you can get the same issue. Then you need to contact the Technical Support of this dietrich's" program.

If this issue only appears in your computer, please be a bit more precise explain your issue so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem. Im glad to help and follow up your reply.

Hello, "Dietrich's" is software for engineers constructing timber houses, and in some processes software generates *.rtf files for detailed lists of material.
(i can give you a link to official site: https://www.dietrichs.com/en/ )
Program installed in our computeres and runs directly from computer.
Strange thing is that it opens fine where it is located, but not directly from "dietrich's" window, and yes I'm opening the same file both ways. so i know exactly that the file is fine
We have three identical computers running on windows 8.1 pro, with MS Home & Business 2013, and have three licenses of "dietrich's" software and the same thing happens in all three computers (can't run *.rtf file directly from program, but runs perfectly where that file is located)
Another way is to overcome this problem is to set "Wordpad" default program for *.rtf files, that way everything runs well.
And one more strange thing, with Ms Office 2010 everything works perfectly in both ways. So i'm a little bit confused where the problem hides.

Hi Martynas.L,

Based on your latest description, your issue might be caused by Word 2013 is not compatible with Dietrichs software.

I suggest you contract the support of Dietrichs software with this issue and ask if there are methods to solve this issue.
