Word 2010 paste to table acting differently than Word 2007

Working with a 2x5 table.

In Word 2007 (How I want it to work):

Select entire table and paste the following 10 item list:

Eff Length (in)
Eff Area (in)
Start Point x,y (in)
Stop Point x,y (in)
1
12.4
1.1
5.7,6.9
18.2,6.3

Yields This:

#

Eff Length (in)

Eff Area (in)

Start Point x,y (in)

Stop Point x,y (in)

1

12.4

1.1

5.7,6.9

18.2,6.3

In Word 2010 (NOT How I want it to work):

Using the same process and same 10 item list yields this:

#

#

#

#

#

Eff Length (in)

Eff Length (in)

Eff Length (in)

Eff Length (in)

Eff Length (in)

I have tried running in different compatibility modes and have tried changing the Compatiblity Options in the Advanced Word Options menu.  Any suggestions?

Hi Jeminole,

This is what I have found. Once converted you can paste it back to your target location.

Convert text to a table
