Word 2010 format issue

Hello all,

This is my first post so I apologize if this is not the right place.

We have a company wide issue with a certain word document that is received from a person outside of our office:

In a word document that they are sending, quotations (" ") are replaced with A @, while the A replacing the first " is slightly smaller than the rest of the document font size. for example:

The word "Agreement" in quotation shows AAgreement@

As far as I know the sender is using Office 2010, and so are we on Windows 7 Pro. I tried it on 3 different computers and also on an Android device with Polaris and had the same results.

Any ideas?

Hi,

According to your description, this issue may be due to the text format, font or encoding. Do you mind sending a sample file to us via Email (ibsofc@microsoft.com). I'd like to test it with our local environment.

Hi,

I have received your attachment. When I opened it, the quotation marks have already changed to "AXXX@".

Did the document owner check the it before sending? I suppose the document owner set the autocomplete. He may set the quotation marks replace as (A@) when typing.

If the document displays correctly with owner's pc, I recommend the document owner copy all the content to a new Notepad(TXT), and send it again to test.

If you have any update, please feel free let us know.

Thank you for the reply.

The document's owner insists that it shows right on their computer, but is reluctant to take any further steps to help resolve the issue therefore I don't find it necessary to continue investigating it.

I truly appreciate your effort to help!
