Word: remaining write lock

Hi,

If somebody opens a word document (e.g. M:\abc.dotx)- > a write lock will be applied for that file.

Then the one changes the File and it will be saved in a newer version of that file, then it shall be replaced in another folder (e.g. M:\otherFolder\abc.dotx) that is also located on M: by a script.
This fails, because the file system reports, that the ressource file is opened by another user.
Unfortunately:
- This lock will only be removed in case that word is completely closed. (so: also if the user closes abc.dotx locally, the writelock will be effective until all open documents are closed).
- The write lock remains in case that the system is shut down.

It is also important to know that the one who changes the document uses a Citrix published word.

word file lock up usually due to the word instance occupied by the script. you may check the script if the operation can be done manually.
