Hi:
How can I open a word document that is corrupted file?
I tried opening it normally and I get the message "cannot be opened"  file is corrupt.

Would you share more detail? How did you try to open that word document?  [File]-[Open] in Word(app)?  Clicking/double clicking the file in Windows Explorer?  In your code(VB.Net, VBA, etc)  I'd like to know about Windows version, correct error message, also.

The answer depends on the form of corruption. You need to provide more details about the file format and the details of the error message.

Note, too, that corruption of Word files stored on USB drives that aren't safely removed is common and, quite often, catastrophic (meaning nothing can be recovered).
