Windows Server2003 - Administrator Account
Hi,
I have anew Dell Server running Windows Server 2003 (SP1).
A few months back, I started down the path of the initial setup of the pre-configured Windows Server, but I don't remember if I fully completed the process back then.
After a few months, I attempted to resume my tasks of getting the Server configured, but I get prompted to enter Username and Password information. This is where I'm stuck. I don't remember putting this info in during initial setup.
The Drop down list for the 'Log on to' field on the Logon screen has a value - so that indicates some kind of setup took place.
Is there a default 'Administrator'Account that I can use to logon with? I have tried all my likely username and pwd combinations to no avail!
I tried Administrator with no password, but still no access.(Error = The system could not log you on.)
I tried re-installing the Microsoft Windows software and it seemed to be doing that, but after 35-minutes and 1-last reboot - the logon screen came up requesting logon info. I was expecting to be prompted during initial setup for User account creation information for logging on.
What else can I do to get back on track with installation and setup of my new Server?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

When you reinstalled the OS, did you pick the option to allow it to reformat the hard drive? Surely that would wipe the old login/password information out.....

Always funny to read, an Administrator who 'forgets' passwords....
Reformat the whole thing, it sounds like it is not in production anyway.
