Hi, Is there somewhere I can find a redistributable version of Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1302.1018? I need to redistribute this application silently to all of our end users but cannot find an MSI file for this anywhere. Thanks for your help! Rob

The only thing I can find to download is a rather small file named WLinstaller.exe and it doesn't appear to accept any switches. If you try WLinstaller.exe /?, the program installs as if you didn't use any switches. The file is so small that I believe it downloads the actual program bits later so there may be nothing to extract from WLinstaller.exe. I also tried watching the C:\windows\temp directory. I can see a folder and a few files are written during the installation but they disappear before you can get a chance to copy them to see if msnmsgs.msi is there. Here is what I was told from Microsoft: "This application is a consumer product and is not tailored to SMS or the enterprise environment."

Rob, This is true, Windows Live Messenger isn't for Enterprise customers. You could have a look at the Office Communications Server which has this option for Enterprises. Johan

Yeah, that is under consideration but likely will not happen this year. Our project pipeline is beyond full this year and there is no way to add "just one more thing". Hopefully I can find an MSI somehow just to get us through this year. Thanks for all of your feedback!
