Windows 2003 R2 to Windows 2008 R2 Domain with Exchange 2007
Hi is there any issues with upgrading the Domain to R2 we currently are running Windows 2003 R2 Domain and I am looking at upgrading to Windows 20008 R2. We have an exchange 2007 environment running on Windows 2008 servers but in our Windows 2003 domain. After I extend the schema does anything need to be done for our exchnage environment? Thanks

Yes it's supported. There is nothing specific you need to do after the schema is updated. Exchange Server 2007 is not supported on Windows Server 2008 R2. However, Exchange 2007 SP1 RU9 and SP2 are supported against Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory servers. In addition, Exchange 2007 SP1 RU9 and SP2 are supported in Active Directory environments whose domain/forest functional levels have been raised to Windows Server 2008 R2.
