Why does Exchange 2007 SP1 allow Rooms to be double booked with OWA?
Does anyone know? The Room mailbox accepts the Meeting Request as Tentative even though another Meeting Request is already confirmed on the Room's Calendar at that time.
"Automatically decline conflicting Meeting Requests" is checked in the room Resource Booking setup.
Thanks.

Can you see if you allowed conflicts?

Damn, I was really hoping this would be the issue, but here's the output of the one-liner you suggested:
AllowConflicts : False

Hi,
First, I would like to confirm the following questions:
1. How many room mailboxes affected by this issue, all or some or only one?
2. Is the resource mailbox account in AD disabled or enabled?
This issue also can occur by incorrect user behavior. Please let me know the detail steps how end user add a room mailbox to meeting request.
Meanwhile, please run the following command to troubleshoot the issue:
Set-MailboxCalendarSettings -Identity “Resource Mailbox Name” -AutomateProcessing AutoAccept
If the issue persists, please run the following two commands and send the files to
me for research.
Get-mailbox -Identity <the problematic mailbox address> | fl >c:\mailbox.txt
Get-mailboxcalendarsettings -Identity <the problematic mailbox address> | fl >c:\Calendar.txt
Thanks.

Thank you Novak.
The "-AutomateProcessing AutoAccept" parameter configured the room to automatically decline conflicting meetings.

You need to uncheck "Automatically decline conflicting Meeting Requests" in outlook. All the three options should be unchecked.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

Why is that necessary? It seemed that running
Set-MailboxCalendarSettings -Identity “Resource Mailbox Name” -AutomateProcessing AutoAccept
fixed the problem...
Thanks

Thought you had already ran that cmdlet. Shouldn't be checked unless mailbox was set up as a direct booking mailbox. You clear those settings and then run the cmdlet -automateprocessing autoaccept.
