and if you select More Shapes and select a stencil does that stencil show?
Like if I go to More Shapes > Business > Brainstorming Shapes, it will show the shapes in that group and I can drag them over to the blank sheet.
EDIT: Noticed that there is no Software category or subcategory in Stencils. Nothing for constructing wireframes.

I just found this question from March 2014. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-visio/visio-2013-standard-wireframe-shapes-missing/a771105a-0170-4ef2-a4f4-587ac5769181
Does Visio 2013 Standard show templates as an option but it's not intended to actually have any?
Hi,
As far as I know, we can use the different templates among the different Visio 2013 versions. Based on my test, Visio 2013 Standard version lists the unavailable templates category. Unfortunately we can't use the stencils which are available in Visio 2013 Pro version. I'll collect the this information and submit it with internal ways.

The stencils in Visio 2013 Pro are quite usable in Visio Standard! Most are exactly the same.
It looks like when you trial Visio 2013 Pro but then only buy Visio Standard, all the extra categories that should only be in Pro get left behind.
