Why did disconnected mailbox take overnight to reappear?
Exchange 2007 SP1. I did a Remove-Mailbox, which deleted the AD account as expected. I did my Get-MailboxStatistics which lists Mailboxes with non-null DisconnectDate. My newly-disconnected mailbox did not appear in the list.
I waited 30 minutes; then I restarted the Exchange Server; still no disconnected mailbox in my list. (This was an unusually large mailbox, in case that might make a difference). The next day when I looked for it again, it finally appeared
in my list. What could cause this? Is there some overnight maintenance that might have triggered dits appearance? Is there any other step I can take that might have brought it back sooner? Mike Murphy

I'm assuming you didnt run the clean-mailboxdatabase cmd? You have to wait til online maintenance completes which is typically run at night.
