Why I Love URL Shorteners
Have you ever received an e-mail like this? When you click on the link, it takes you to a bad web page because not all of the link was sent to the browser. As a project manager, I receive and send tons of links via e-mail and more often than not, I would come across this problem on a regular basis. First off, the link is not bad - it's just that it's too long when it's clicked from an e-mail, the entire address is not passed to the web browser hence going to the wrong address. The right way of addressing this is to copy the entire URL and paste it on the web browser address bar. To view the full blog entry, visit http://bit.ly/1IPTvG
