Which IE Add-Ons Does OWA Need? (Add-ons disabled via GPO)
I need to disable all add-ons on the server via GPOs, but doing so stops OWA working correctly.
I've added the CLSIDs I can see that it needs, but I'm obviously missing something somewhere.
The error message shown is:

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be extremely grateful, there seems to be very little related to this online.

Try enabling Shockwave Flash and see if it solves the problem, if it doesn't you will just have to enable them one by one and see which on it is that you need...Martin Sundstrm | Microsoft Certified Trainer | MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2007/2010 |

Hiya,
I started with Flash and Java, that didn't work. The ones I've added so far now are as follows:
JavaScript
{F414C260-6AC0-11CF-B6D1-00AA00BBBB58} Java 1.3.1
{CAFEEFAC-0013-0001-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA} Java 1.4.2
{CAFEEFAC-0014-0002-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA} Java 5.0
{CAFEEFAC-0015-0000-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA} Java 6.0
{CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA} VBScript
{B54F3741-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8} Flash
{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000} Microsoft Silverlight
{DFEAF541-F3E1-4C24-ACAC-99C30715084A} Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV Helper
{DBC80044-A445-435B-BC74-9C25C1C588A9} Java
{E7E6F031-17CE-4C07-BC86-EABFE594F69C}
Still no joy though.

Do you know whether the name has to match the name on the CLSID information in IE or whether it can be 'friendly' and easier to identify like I quoted above...

I was doing something wrong anyway...
I'm doing it right now, but there's still an issue - pretty much all the addons are now enabled in my browser, but it's still got the same issue.
This is going to seriously bug me, but I need to disable toolbars, so I refuse to be beaten!

Kepp up the good spirit, dont let it get you! :)
There could be something else wrong with your owa, have you tried to access it using a unaffected computer so you know that it is working ok?Martin Sundstrm | Microsoft Certified Trainer | MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2007/2010 |

Yes, It's fine externally or internally on a machine not added to the domain, so it's definitely the add-on restrictions in the GPO that's causing the issue - when I change that setting back to allowing all add-ins, it works fine too.
I've added all the add-ons showing on IE on my machine, and it's still not working...
Very annoying! Shouldn't there be a list of all the add-ons OWA needs?

Did you solve this? Im qurious to know if you found the add-on that where affecting OWA?Martin Sundstrm | Microsoft Certified Trainer | MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2007/2010 |

Seriously... nobody can answer this question? You'd think there'd be a simple KB, or other article with this important list...
Annoyingly though, it seems like every Google hit for this question points to some iteration of this thread...
