Where to set permissions for a shared resource calendar?
I am using Exchange 2007 and Outlook client 2007. I have created a shared resource calendar but I am unsure on how to grant permissions. I have full access to the calendar so I'm able to make any changes. I would like to set permissions so that a meeting can only be deleted by the person who created the meeting. (besides myself who is the admin). Where do I go to set this up?

Seems that you're using direct booking instead of using calendar booking with meeting requests.
If using meeting requests then the meeting organizer simply just delete the meeting and a delete instruction will be sent to each member incl. the conference room.
Permission set from EMC or EMS can only be full mailbox access on the complete mailbox, if you need other permission you can use outlook and set different permission on each folder in mailbox.

Your Question: A Room Mailbox has been created for purpose of sharing meeting recourse, but you didnt know how to assign the permission, e.g, a meeting can only be deleted by the person who created the meeting, Am I understand correctly?
Ok. To manage these resource scheduling permission at the Exchange organization level, you must use the Exchange Management Shell.
You can set "resource booking policies" for the resource mailboxes in your organization that specify rules, such as who can schedule a resource, when the resource can be scheduled, what meeting information will be visible on the resource's calendar, and what percentage of conflicts will be allowed

Thanks for the articles, I'll take a look at those. Currently what I would like to do is have a certain group be able to add meetings to the shared resource calendar and only have the organizer be able to delete the meeting. It appears though, that when a user who is not the organizer goes to delete the meeting from the shared calendar, it will actually delete the meeting and prompt to 'send a response, don't send a response, etc'. Does that make sense? Am I missing something? I was setting the permissions on the shared resource calendar w/inOutlook by right clicking on the calendar and going to properties and granting the group the 'Delete - Own' ability.

"setting the permissions on the shared resource calendar w/inOutlook"
Doesit mean that you are sharing single user's calendar to other?
If it's the case, please check your permission level, and here's a goodarticlewhich list about permission in detail.

Also to narrow down the cause, unselect permission that assigned to that group one by one. See actually which checkbox led users can delete other's meeting.

Actually it is a shared resource mailbox (calendar) that was created in Outlook. I will be doing further testing tomorrow and will see what happens. Thanks for the articles!
