Where can i find a good explanation on how to create a global adress list in Exchange 2013?
I am struggling with the ECP and Powershell for Exchange 2013. I just want to create a Global Adress List that all the users in the domain can use as the standard email/adress list. Somehow i cannot find a decent and clear manual on how to create this :(

Hi

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232063(v=exchg.150).aspx is the document to create the global address list - once you create it use the commandlet to set is as a default

Hope this helps

It's simple
Run this command to create the GAL
New-GlobalAddressList -Name NewGAL

Do you have any issue with GAL currently?

Hi,

In Exchange 2013, we can't use the Exchange Administration Center (EAC) to create a Global Address list. We must use the Shell to run New-GlobalAddressList cmdlet to perform this procedure. Please refer to the links posted above to achieve it.

Thanks,

Thank you! I now know how to create the GAL. But one problem remains, that I don't know how to let it show up in Outlook 2013 under all users, then fill it with adresses, give all users read and write access and ofcourse how to set it as a standard. The standard documents contains just basis technical info, not really a manual :-(
