I wrote a program using MAPI to send mail.

One customer is complaining that it crashes every time when sending an email.

After checking the mini dump file, I found it crashes in MSO.dll.

Does any one know how to get MSO.dll or even its pdb files? The version is 14.00.7145.5000.

Any help would be appreciated.

Based on the description, I understand the program crashes every time when sending an email, probably the fault module refers to MSO.dll.

Usually this issue is caused either because the .dll is corrupted or the method to call the .dll is wrong. However, I don't have the exact MSO.dll you need. If you need to test if a new .dll will resolve the issue, we can choose an easier way:

Locate the MSO.dll file, rename it to "old". Then in Control Panel -> Programs and Features, find Office and run a repair of it. A new MSO.dll will be created and test again.
