When saving attachments from Outlook 2010 receive error “Cannot save attachment”.

When saving attachments from Outlook 2010 receive error Cannot save attachment.

I have tried the following fixes and none of them permanently work. At best it works for then days then stops.

I have tried the following:

1. Rebuild outlook profile (works for 1-2 days)

2. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305982 - (last 3 days and since then does not work).

3. http://www.computerbusinessconsultants.com/when-saving-attachments-from-outlook-2010-receive-error-cannot-save-attachment-4/- Did not work

4. outlook/safe Did not work.I can however save the entire email or copy an attachement using the shortcut keys into the folder. I just can not right click and go save as or save all.

Hi, the Protected View settings in Office may prevent saving E-mail Attachments.

Please check the Protected View settings as below:

1. Open Outlook.

2. Choose File -> Options -> Trust Center

3. Click Trust Center Settings Button

4. Choose Protected View in Left side selection pane.

5. Check appropriate check boxes for Protected View settings.

6. Click OK, OK

7. Close & Open Outlook.

If this issue still persists, please troubleshoot in Safe Mode, to determine if its 3rd-party add-ins related:

Win + R, type outlook.exe /safe in the blank box, then press Enter.

If theres no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to test if the issue was caused by add-ins.

Regards.

Thank you for your help.

I did try your recommendation and the issue was still present.

What I have just tried now is to create a new my documents folder and give the user, admin and system full control (same settings as previous folder) and it has been working for two days (so far...).
