When opening/marking old mail, it automatically shoots back to the top.

When I try to mark or open a older mail (not the newest, just any mail except the newest one), it automatically shoots back to the newest mail. This way I cant read, mark, send or delete the mail.

Does anyone have a solutions for this rather weird problem?

Hi,

Are you using Microsoft Outlook as your mail client?

From the description, when marking or opening an earlier email, it will automatically jump to the first email in the mail folder, am I correct?

By "mark an email", do you mean assign a category to an email or mark an email to follow up?

If you are using Outlook as mail client, have you tried testing this issue in Outlook safe mode? Press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type outlook /safe and press Enter. If the problem would be gone in safe mode, it means the issue is caused due to a problematic add-in. We can go to File > options > Add-ins and disable suspicious add-ins to fix the issue.

In addition, we can also try starting Outlook with /cleanviews switch in case this issue is cause by corrupted views. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type outlook /cleanviews and press Enter.

However, if you are not using Outlook as your mail client, I'd recommend you contact the corresponding support for your mail client for further assistance.
