What is the use of HomeMTA attribute of an user in exchange environment. Is the value depends on anything like in which server, the user has his/her mailbox like that?- Santron Manibharathi.

In Exchange 2010, it doesnt have much meaning other than getting stamped with the current server's name where the database is active on when the mailbox is created or moved, but in previous versions, it was used by mapi clients and other Exchange Processes to determine which server a mailbox was on.
