What is the exact database size of my exchange server?
Hello All I have exchange 2003 server which has 75GB size limit mail box size on it. I am archiving user mailboxes since the size is getting closer to the limit. But after all the changes I did, when I check the size under the database path for .edb and .stm files the size it reports and the size I get if I do Exchange System Manager > First Administrative group > servers > server name > first storage group > mailbox store are completely different. close to 10GB size difference. Is there any way I can get the correct total mailbox size without calculating it manually? Thank you

Events 1221 in the app log will tell you how much minimum free space is available in the store. The 75GB limit is the logical size of the store, not the size of the store on disk. So, if the size is 75GB on disk, but you have 25GB available in free space according to the event 1221, then the logical size of the store is 50GB. With the changes in 2003 SP2 that allow up to 75GB, the event logs will tell you much you have before hitting the limit.
