What is the best way to share calendars and free busy between two exchange ORGs.
I know one (ours) is 2007 Exchange, and the other could be 2003 or 2007. I am researching a solution for the clients to be able to share Free / Busy time and calender information between each orginizaiton. Assusming there is no trust, and that if approved, the appropriate static ports in firewalls can be opened, what would be the best path to follow for this? Approvers for the task reccomended MOSS 2007, but i see that being pretty messy.

What I've used in the past is IIFP (which was a subset of MIIS) and the InterOrg util. Basically IIFP allows you to create the relevant contacts in each forest and then the InterOrg util publishes the free/busy data between the forests. Quest also used to have a tool that would do all this by e-mails with some agents on each side. Neill

I presented the the Quest Collaboration Services, and it looks like the price is in the ball park. 200 user minimum purchase at a extremely reasonable price for the software, using just SMTP connectivity. Since Interorg and MIIS/IIFP would/may require to many network holes to be opened, MAPI/RPC (Dynamic at times) and where I am, that is not acceptable. Both agencies already make use SMTP for inbound and outbound internet mail, and the data between them would be encrypted, there would be no required network changes. Extreme Plus, plus the cost of implementing the required changes here would be greater than the cost of the software it self. I love my MS products, but this product from Quest seems much more reasonable and simplified for what I need to do. Thanks for the info. After 2 days of research, I got pretty savy on the different options. There was also a company out of germany that had a 'trialware' product that did the same thing, but I am pretty sure I can not implement any foreign solutions (even though crackberry is Canadian) The Canadians defeated the Caps - UG. What a sad day in the city.
