I am getting a file not fouwn exit code install and all files are on the system and install works else where.

Before installing Lync, I suggest you make sure you have met the system requirement to install Lync, and make sure the architecture of Lync can be installed on your Windows. For example, 64-bit Lync cannot be installed on a 32-bit Windows.

You can also try to install Lync when performing a clean boot to eliminate the affection by other programs.
