What files are used by Office 2010 to save user settings & preferences

Dear all,

I have an issue where a user has managed to change his personal settings in office so that:

1.  He is getting <body> tags when certain fonts are used.

2.  He is not able to see 'track changes'

Both of these issues are in word 2010.  I'm only a contractor in this new environment & so do not have knowledge of when, why or how things were setup.  we are also using 'Appsence' which i also have no experience with... Or access to learn... & so any changes that this user has implemented (i'm guessing he made the changes?) are copied across the environment.  In an ideal world.  I have thought about uninstalling office but don't know if that would make any difference in an appsence environment.  I was therefore looking to find out the names of any associated files so that i could delete\rename or replace until a solution is found.  He is the only user with this issue.  I have been though his settings & duplicated them with a known working user...  to no avail... Thoughts please.  Thank you.
