What Causes the C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\w3svc1 to grow so rapidly?
Exchange 2007Sp2. So, what causes the W3SVC1 directory to grow so rapidly. We have had to clear those logs in order not to run out of space on our C drive. Thanks for any explanation.

Hi, Its a normal behaviour, that why Exchange admin use to have script which purge these logs perodically. Growing this log is depend upon EWS services activity. ust go ahead and delete old logs. Also i will suggest you to have script to delete it regular basis.Anil

We have had to clear those logs in order not to run out of space on our C drive. Thanks for any explanation. Any web activity is recorded in those log files. OWA, Outlook Anywhere, ActiveSync, etc. This is a pretty useful tool for managing those IIS log files: http://winadmin.forret.com/scripts/warmzip/ --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
