Weird profile problem, also prompting for credentials - Outlook/Exchange 2007
On some machines there seems to be a problem with the client attempting to a different ost file or user profile then the one that it should be currently using. If you blow away the mail profile then it works for that user but as soon as you attempt to login with a different user it will either show a login window (which will never work) and once you cancel out of that it will either close Outlook or use a different domain users profile that has been used on the same PC. Anyone ever had this kind of behaviour? I know this is the Exchange forum but I thought it may be a good idea to post. Thanks for looking.

Hi, First please ensure that you have check option Prompt for a profile to be used when you configure the user profile from Control Panel-Mail. Besides, please try to delete the ost file from c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook. When you open Outlook next time, it will try to sync with Exchange Server and then generate a new ost file there. Note: It may take long time to sync with Exchange Server if you have a lot of email. If it is not the case, then please feel free to let me know. Hope it helps. Xiu
