Weird email formatting once sent

Hello,

We have a user that has a recurring issue that causes emails to have strange formatting once the email is sent.
The email will appear normal while it is being typed out, but the person on the receiving end gets something that looks completely different.

This user has had this issue before on Office 2003, so we replaced his machine as it needed replacing anyway.

The issue went away for a while, but has now re-appeared using Office 2013.

This is the only user we look after that I am aware of having the issue.

My thought is there's be some strange setting he is using that is causing this.

It looks as though tabs and paragraphs are randomly added throughout the text.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks!

Hi Luke,

In order to resolve the issue more efficiently, I'd like to clarify the following questions:

Would you please provide a screenshot regarding the strange formatting so that we can understand this issue more clearly?

Does this issue happen with other recipients or only a specific one?

Does the sent email looks normal in the user's Sent Items folder?

What if we send an email message from webmail interface? Will the issue continue in this case?

The forums unfortunately won't allow me to post a screenshot, as I'm new to Technet.
It happens randomly with all recipients across all domains.
Once the email is sent, the email looks the same as it does for the recipient, as it does for the sender in their sent items. While composing however, the email looks normal.
Only once it is sent, does the formatting change.

The user does not use webmail, but they send emails regularly from their company provided iPhone 5, and he does not experience the same problems.

I also ran OffCAT, which did not help.

Apologies for the delay in the response.

Thanks!
