Web Browser - Cannot find file ... Make sure the path or internet address is correct

Hello...I am having an odd issue that I can't figure out. We have a Windows 2008 R2 server running RDS services for about 20-30 users. We use folder redirection so user data is stored on a separate volume. The system volume is about 100GB, and the data volume is over 1TB. The system partition was low on disk space and I found that the reason was due to all the users temporary internet files hidden folders were very large, some gigabytes in size. I had thought the folder redirection would redirect those folders too, but apparently not. After some research, I found a way to redirect the temporary internet files folder to the data volume, by using group policy preferences and adding some registry keys, but that is where my problem began. The problem only exists in Outlook 2013, other applications seem fine. What happens is since changing the location of the temporary internet files folder, when a user selects an email message in Outlook 2013, if the email has a web URL, or an image, you get a pop up error that reads "Web Browser" with a message about "cannot find files <path to file>, make sure the path or internet address is correct". This message comes up multiple times, sometimes 5-10 times and it returns every time you select another message. It is a nightmare for the end user, it makes Outlook nearly unusable. It does not occur for everyone, some users are ok. But there seems to be no way of fixing the problem once it occurs, short of completely deleting the users profile and recreating it. After 5-6 users had this issue, I reverted my changes in group policy. Now the users that I had to delete and recreate in order to fix, are having the issue AGAIN, likely due to the internet files folders changing again.

I would like to keep the temporary internet files folder on the Data volume like I originally did, but what I am looking for is a fast or easy way to fix the Outlook issue without recreating everyone's profile. From an end user perspective this is a big nuisance since they have to deal with the errors, and then having their profile wiped out resets much of their preferences, settings, etc.

Anyone have any ideas or thoughts on why this is happening, and how to fix it?

As it turns out, there was a trailing slash in my GPO registry key that gave Outlook the wrong path (it made two "//" appear in the path). After updating the GPO and running Ccleaner to clear out the path from Outlook, things are working properly.
