Want to setup SMTP on 2 ports
We host an Exchange Server 2003 system which users access POP accounts over the internet. Some of our POP account clients have ISP's that block outgoing port 25 from their residence or place of business. Our clients can receive email OK but cannot send mail on port 25. I want to be able to accept outgoing mail requests simultaneously on 2 different ports (port 25 and 26). How can I set this up on Exchange? Thanks.andyh999

Create a new receive connector ans, on the "Network" tab, configure it to listen on port 26. Why are those people not using the ISP's rerlay server to send e-mail? --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi andyh999, In Exchange 2003, when you want to setup SMTP on port 26, you can follow these steps: 1.Start the Exchange System Manager. 2.Locate and click Servername, click Protocols, and then click SMTP. 3. .Right-click the Default SMTP Virtual Server object, and then click Properties. 4.On the General tab, click the Advanced button, click Add button to add for port 26. If you want to change SMTP port 25 to another port in Exchange Server, you can refer to this document: How to change SMTP port 25 to another port in Microsoft Exchange Server http://support.microsoft.com/kb/274842 Thanks, Evan
