Want to know why ESM failed to retrieve queues for the x400 protocol as well as SMTP Virtual Server
For the last couple of days we have been having to reboot one of our exchange server due to the following errors: Exchange System Manager failed to retrieve queues for the X400 protocol (error code = 0x800706BF). Check the event log and verify that the required services are running. Exchange System Manager failed to retrieve queues for the SMTP Virtual Server (error code = 0x800706BF). Check the event log and verify that the required services are running. Can anyone please explain why this is happening. Nothing configuration wise has changed.

Hi Louie, Issue might be caused due to TCPChimney and Teaming was enabled on the Exchange Server. Resolution => Thus go to Registry to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters Disabled EnableTCPChimney, EnableTCPA & EnableRSS. Reboot the Exchange 2003 Server for the settings to take affect. Go to ESM and try again. => Then go ahead and remove Teaming on the Exchange 2003 Server. After removing the Teaming, then go to Properties of Local Area Connection -- Verify DNS setting is right. => Then restart exchange server and try again. Best Regards!

Just to understand you correctly, you are suggesting to disable the Enable TCPChimney value and keep the EnableTCPA and EnableRSS as enabled? Also, i'm not quite sure what is meant by removing Teaming on the exchange server.
