Want to install exchange 2007 SP1 image on server 2008 R2, or can I merge SP2 & SP3 onto it?
I have a copy of Exchange 2007 sp1 through Microsoft Open Licensing. I am going to install this coming week and transition our organization to it (from 2000 to 2007). I am thinking I want to install Exchange on Server 2008 R2 machines, but from what I've read, you need SP3. I have been unable to find any options to do this. Are there any option for installing my copy of MX2007 SP1 on a 2008R2 machine? Can I merge SP2 and SP3 onto the installation image somehow?

Are you sure that the SP3 you have isn't a full installation package? I thought that's all they're shipping now. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . Ah, you are saying that if I download SP3 from Microsoft, that its the entire package. Ok, I get it, its not a standalone sp update? I think im reading what your saying, and I looked at the download documentation more closely.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. I believe that all SPs are now complete packages. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . Exchange 2007 SPs come out in a single EXE file. Run the EXE from a command line with the /X switch to extract the files, and then you have a complete package from which you can run Setup from the GUI or command line.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
